Dental hygienists are eligible for a third COVID-19 vaccine dose.
Initially, the CDHM was told by Shared Health that the third dose was for those working in hospitals and long term care homes. We understand, however, if RDH’s identified themselves as such, they were not denied the booster vaccine. And, importantly, as of Thursday last week, Shared Health provided the following direction for those eligible for third doses to include:
• health care personnel who have direct contact with patients, residents or clients.
