As Public Health measures begin to lift, it is important to remember your role as a healthcare provider and to be aware of the CDHM Interim IPC Guidelines that remain in effect until further notice. Up to date Shared Health pandemic response information continues to be our source of guidance to inform future COVID-19 IPC Guidance document changes. Be reminded that aerosol generating procedures (AGPs), including prophylaxis, require high volume evacuation (HVE). A saliva ejector is not sufficient.
The current Shared Health Screening Tool still advises that if an individual has a positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), they are considered COVID positive and are to “immediately limit your contact with others and isolate yourself at home”
