Please review the request for participation in a research study on the impact of implant supported restorations on the quality of life of senior care-dependent patients:
My name is Omar Kandil, and I am an undergraduate student working under the supervisions of Dr. Carlo Sgarbanti, Dr. Sylvia Todescan, and Dr. Anil Menon in the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry. The reason that I am contacting you is that we are conducting a study that explores the perspective of dental and healthcare professionals on the impact of implant supported restorations on the quality of life of senior care-dependent patients. Implant supported restorations are treatments for edentulous (all teeth are missing) and partially edentulous patients that use implants to secure dentures or fixed dental devices to the patients’ mouth. We are currently inviting people to participate in this study.
Participation in this study involves completing a short, anonymous survey on Microsoft Forms. The survey will ask general questions about your experience working with senior care-dependent patients and their oral hygiene. More specifically, the survey has questions about the impact that implant supported restorations can have on senior care-dependent patients. Participation in this study will take maximum 10 minutes of your time.
